Pokemon Go Egg Chart and Guide

The excitement of hatching a rare Pokemon out of a Pokemon Go egg is probably one of the best things about the Pokemon Go app.

In the picture (left) you can see all of the eggs I have collected at Pokestops. Eggs can only be hatched by you walking a certain distance and that distance depends on which kind of egg you have.

There are three types of eggs each with different distances to walk. One is 2.0 km, the next is 5.0 km and the last egg is 10 km. Keep in mind that how far you walk for an egg will determine if you will hatch better Pokemon or not.

Check out the list of Pokemon you can hatch from each type of egg. The ones that are considered 'better' are found in the 10 km egg just like I said. It's really up to you on which eggs you want to hatch for certain Pokemon. For example, I'm trying to collect Jigglypuffs to eventually evolve it into a Wigglytuff since that Pokemon is very rare in my area. So I keep walking a bunch of 2 km eggs to have a chance at hatching a jigglypuff.

Also you may not have known that every time you hatch a Pokemon from an egg you receive AT LEAST 10 candies of that Pokemon type. So again, going back to my example about the Jigglypuff, if I hatch a Jigglypuff I am for sure going to get 10 candies for her and possibly even more.

So that being said, if you're struggling to find a Pokemon you really want then go ahead and try to hatch that certain Pokemon out of an egg. After all, all you have to do is walk and we do plenty of that while searching for Pokestops and chasing after Pokemon.
